Moniqa & Magic Unicorn
CHAPTER 9
RIDING THE WIND
It had been another hectic day at school. She had tons of homework, had studied late, and had fallen asleep on her desk. Moniqa awoke with her arms tingling from lack of circulation. Painfully she undressed and crawled into bed. She was asleep again before the covers settled.
She dreamed that she walked out of deep woods into a high mountain meadow with a waterfalls spilling from a cliff into a deep blue lake. She skipped across the meadow and out onto the water. That was when she realized that she was dreaming. She laughed out loud. If she was dreaming, then she could fly. She jumped into the air and swam up toward the clouds.
Suddenly, the wind buffeted her, sending her tumbling. Help! she cried, Help me, Magic! Instantly, he was by her side.
It is only the wind. The wind is like a wild horse. Its wild and free and headstrong. You must tame it with your own will.
How do I do that? How can I make the wind do what I want? Its a force of nature! Whoa! Moniqa yelled as the wind sent her tumbling again.
Magic stayed beside her. Yes, but as an aspect of the Creator and a Co-Creator, it is subject to your will. The wind is used to having its own will and is not easily trained, but it can be done.
Why would I want to? Moniqa asked as she righted herself.
Because one day, you may need to protect your friends and loved ones from the wild wind, in your waking life. That technique needs to be perfected in your dreaming life.
Moniqa felt a spike of fear surge through her at Magics words. Instantly, the wind buffeted her again.
First you must be able to control your own emotions. Remember the calmness and love that you felt in the Void. Now move yourself into that feeling throughout your whole body. Emotions are always your choice. You choose how you feel. You are used to letting your feelings run you. They are meant to be experienced, not to be allowed to run rampant.
Magic took Moniqa on many more adventures, for many years to come......
