This was an Amazing Lecture. Wanted to Share with you All. Michael Newton is a Psychologist, who has done hypnotherapy for years. He specializes in getting a person to the Spirit World Between Lives. He has learned a great deal over the years and has written a book called, Journey of Souls - Lives Between Lives. Astounding material. Might answer some questions for you. It certainly did for me!

Journey of Souls - Lives Between Lives

Michael Newton, Ph.D.

He started out by saying he was going to throw out a lot of material. He said to take what you find comfortable and through out the rest.

He has studied the life between lives: The greatest fear people have is the dread of death. The average person feels they will lose their person hood and that nothing is left behind. They also fear they will lose their purpose.

The number one reasons people come to see him for sessions is that they want to know what their purpose in life is. What are they supposed to be doing?

He hypnosis works with the Super conscious. He does not know of anyone who does what he does. He takes 3 to 4 hours to do a session with a person. He does take appointments, but there is a 2 year waiting period. He is going to try and train others to do what he does.

He works with the life between lives. It is not just a limbo state. In order to work with a person, you must know how to ask the right questions at the right time. He has learned how to do this with his clients. Now he only takes people who will do this process. Some of us have the ability to do this for ourselves by going into deep meditations.

When he has a client he takes them back to the immediate last lifetime, instead of having them go back through the birthing process. He has taken people back through the birthing process, but it is must harder to get them orientated.

So he has them focus on their last lifetime when they died. Then he desensitizes them from the death experience and then works with them as they go through the transition. He works with individuals to release the trauma of death. You have to know how to do this and you must be careful.

His first case was a woman who was really lonely. While in hypnosis, she used to tell him that she missed her group. Then she said she could see them all in front of her. He asked her Where are we? She replied that she was in the spirit world.

What Happens at the Point of Death:

Some of this is affected by the development of the soul. The younger souls want to stick around after death. They want to go to their funerals. They want to know if people brought flower. He said younger souls don't want to leave.

He has found that more advanced souls speed out of here. When souls cross over they are very concerned about those who are grieving about them. They tend to stick around and reach people who are grieving.

They are allotted time to do this. Sometimes this is very hard because people are shut down. He discovered various techniques souls use to communicate to people shut down. They will focus energy on one part of the body, say the throat when someone is crying and then they will move to other parts of the body to get their attention.

They will work with the dream state to try and get messages through to people who are susceptible. The will com into dreams and do an overlay to get a message they want to give to a person. They will create a complete dream sequence.

Sometimes they get messages through when people are doing something they enjoy, the smells of roses trigger a response and a message can come through.

They will use electro-magnetic energy. They will turn things on. He told a story about his wife's support group. There was a woman in the group who swore up and down that the dead do not communicate. She had been waiting for months to hear from her dead husband and she was really angry because her had not communicated with her. At that moment in front of the group a music box that was on the piano, that had not been wound in 2 years suddenly started playing. The music box was playing a Glen Miller song.

The woman and her husband had loved ballroom dancing. Of course she started crying because she got her message from him. Clients have told of pushing things around to get the attention of those grieving..

Some will use somatic touch, and get energy to the body.

They will use children, a very young child (under age six) will come in and tell her grieving mother that she has seen Daddy and he says that everything is okay.

Some souls communicate regularly after leaving.

Some souls move quickly to leave others slowly to the Portal after death Once there some souls see spiritual guides. Some see angels. Some see relatives.

When he gets a client who says they see Jesus, he has always asked them to look again. When they do they normally see someone else they recognize.

He has found that there is a knowing that they are not looking at a religious leader.

It is important when a client sees their guides for the first time. It is a profound time. Those who meditate know about their guides.

Some people say they see angels. Angels who have wings, however he has found that spiritual guides can be seen as floating and have light around them and often times can be confused for angels.

Guides come in all shapes and sizes.

1. Some are hands on teachers.

2. Some make us work for everything.

3. Some are teachers of souls: One guide said that all of her souls are goof offs and they want to skate through life. They are overly fond of earthly pleasures. This guide said that the Council is interested in her teaching methods and her indulgence theory.

When we come into the Spirit World we pass the gate and a healing comes through. Violent and traumatic deaths are healed. His clients describe a gate keeper who reshapes their energy at the gate. The soul energy is regenerated removing the black energy that is carried from the life time just ended. Our energy is reshaped into soul energy and then we can function in the spirit world.

After we cross over we reach a place of orientation. It is a profound time. It is the first time we get to review what we have done in our life. It is a gentile definitive questioning about the life's experiences, a preliminary orientation, as others also follow. We are our most severest critics.

At this point souls see different things. One person saw fields of flowers. One person met his guide at a bar. Structures are interesting, they are set up for the returning soul, to acclimate the easiest. There could be a school house. Some people see Greek temples. This is very common, Greeks did not separated spirit from the physical world. We see different settings to get us re -acclimated.

Orientation settings are where souls get a chance to review their life.

They will meet with their Primary Cluster Group of 3-25 souls. Again we are reviewing our life with our group to see what we did and did not learn.

There are groupings in our Primary cluster group.

The inner circle of cluster groups are soul mates. There are 3 groups.

1. Primary Soul mates. Souls that are deeply bonded with each other.

2. Companion soul mates. Other member of their primary group.

3. Affiliated soul mates. Not quite properly a soul mate. We may only see them briefly during a lifetime. We work with them in our life.

Once we are in orientation we may move into independent studies. We will have parties and graduations to the next level. There is are levels of learning, a hierarchy. There are no power struggles-no ego. There is no pressure to conform. No soul is less than another other soul.

On male client said that there were only 3 souls in his cluster. Well the others had moved up in the hierarchy. He had not moved along and was left behind.

Each soul is individual and unique. WE are expected to make mistakes.

Only see incarnation level and spirit guides. Some people want to skate through.

Earth is the toughest school. You get kudos for incarnating on Earth.

One person told him that the there is a bottom line reason why he incarnates on earth, it is just for sex. This person said that on earth you get the best sex!

Six Soul Character Types - we have a cross section in every soul group.

1. Tenacious Survivor.

2. Quiet gentle loving soul. (this balances the first one)

3. The fun loving comedian.

4. Adaptable changeable.

5. Thoughtful.

6. Dependable.

Each soul in the group lends its strength to the other they balance each other. Sometimes we wonder why someone is our sister because we are not alike. However they are there to balance us and help us to grow.

When we are in our group we do stage plays and chess matches. We look at all the probabilities and possibilities for a life time experience. We talk in class about what we did and how we did it. We are in a classroom to learn. They carefully review your life and if you really bombed out they literally do a replay of the scene to see how it could have been done!

There comes a time when we go before a council of elders. He is not locked into this term. This is a panel of our guides and superiors who analyze how well we have done (it is not at all like the movie, Defending Your Life). We go in front of this 1 to 2 times between lives. It is a tribunal.

We take a prep class to prepare for the next lifetime. We look at all the options, and then there is a memory block. In prep class we will set up codes on how to meet our soul mates. He asked those of us who have met our soul mates to think back on how we felt when we met the person. We have constructed a careful scene before being born, on how we would meet and what would trigger the memory.

The Tribunal or Council is a step or two above us. It is not a group that sits in judgment. We work with our guides and we listen and they listen and it is a growing experience.

Near Death Experiences: Some say they see demons etc. It can be sensationalized. Souls don't feel heat and cold.

People who saw hell may be caring memories of the Tribunal. He thinks they are. Referred to memories of going before the council. We are on trial for ourselves. Nothing can be hidden. In the spirit world it is about self-discovery. Anticipation we are going to learn something. When we are ready they are ready. The soul states what he wanted to do and then what happened. Then he relates participation from his perception.

In one case a person was told by a Tribunal that one of the most significant things he had done that lifetime was to stop and talk to a woman who was crying at a bus stop. He stopped and comforted her for 10 minutes, until her bus came. This one incident was one of the most powerful he had done his whole life!. Sometimes we cross paths with someone once in a lifetime, but we can make a difference in that one moment. It was a brief and compassionate encounter. Sometimes we are living under false pretense. Look at yourself through our eyes. Accept yourself with unconditional love which is how the council sees you.

We do have accountability up there. The council can change between lives.

One man said that he had a new member, one who said that he needed to be more sensitive to the woman, something he was developing. The man who came to see him , had the experience of his session in order to be reminded that this was something he had as a purpose this lifetime!

Soul Types:

1. Souls who don't function as individuals but work in the collectives. They do not incarnate they wont leave the spirit world.

2. Some never incarnate, are only in the mental.

3. Souls that only incarnate in the physical.

4. Souls who do both physical and mental.

(At this point he started moving through his notes rapidly to get more information out to us.)

Souls in Groups will study particular areas and specialize. It is like taking extra credit courses. They get specialized training:

Special Training souls can receive:

1. Teacher souls. These are souls that become guides or teachers themselves. They have to be skilled communicators and have affinity to understand why people do what they do. The need to understand the emotions of the human mind.

2. Experts in Children. Subgroup of teachers. You find them in occupation involving children.

3. Creative/Inventive - these are souls work in creation and invitro (he said he will talk about these in his next book).

4. Dream Masters. Certain souls specialize in teaching with dreams. They use imagery to work with problems.

5. Regenerator Souls: They specialize in repairing energy problems. They are healers.

6. Explorers: They wander off and see other things. They walk into another classroom and see what is going on. They like to see what is going on in other rooms. They are interested in other planets.

7. Library Archivists: They working the libraries that keep the information on the past, present, and future. They are industrious.

8. Time Masters. They can be found in the screening room specializing in manipulating time and setting up time sequences to appear in.

General points of the spirit world:

There is rest and restoration also. People have will have fun.

They will play hide and seek and chase younger souls off, who get lost.

They will play Red Rover and throw bolts of lightning at each other.

They love music and dancing.

Choosing another body:

There comes a time when we have to choose another body. Once another body is chosen amnesia blocks are put into place. If the soul is more evolved then the blocks are not as strong. New souls have tight amnesia blocks.

However he feels that this going to change. He went into a discussion about the effect the drug culture is having on the world. People keep escaping reality. He feels that drugs block the soul from function. If they escape reality the soul cant function. As a result he thinks that the spirit world will loosen the blocks and that we will see and remember more.

He prefers not to work with people under the age of 30.

Karma. He sees that as a sum of our deeds. It gives us an opportunity to learn and grow. We can choose what body and what our soul temperament will be. Karma is not punitive it is cause and affect.

He also said that some souls are not matched to their bodies. You can have an aggressive body and a passive soul, or a passive body and an aggressive soul.
