Returning to the Misty Realms, Bedazzle collapses into a chair with a huge sigh, beside his friend and leader.

"Luc, I don't know what you see in these humans. They're hopeless. Maybe God was right to want to destroy them, too."

Lucifer looked up from his holographic computer screen and smiled at his friend. "A deal is a deal. And now they are our only ticket back to Heaven."

"Yes, but, their limited and distorted perception is abominable. Ever since that incident in the Garden of Eden, they no longer acknowledge you as Lucifer, the Bearer of Light, but Satan. And they have even distorted the true meaning of that name to mean Evil."

Lucifer grinned. "Yes, and they call you Beelzebub."

Bedazzle snorted.

Lucifer sobered a little. "I, too, wish that they could realize that it is the fears in their own subconscious minds that creates the "evil" in the world. It is defective genetics which leaves their conscious and subconscious minds unabridged.

"Bedazzle, you and the others are my emissaries. It is up to you to try to get through to the humans their true potential. Use whatever means necessary. You must help them realize their full potential, also."

"We have the most success working with them in their dream state."

"Well, give them good and profound dreams, then."

Bedazzle walked into the chamber and threw his gloves in the table. Lucifer looked up, "Well, where have you been this time?"

"On Guardian Angel duty." Bedazzle grinned. "I think there is hope for this last one. She is in the outer rooms, awaiting her next incarnation. The females seem easier to get through to than the males."

Lucifer grimaced. "It's those chemicals called hormones. The hormones of the males seem to interfere with their ability to experience emotions. A genetic defect, I'm afraid. No wonder God wanted to destroy them." He shrugged his shoulder in helplessness. "But... when it's all you have to work with..... We have to make the best of it."

"Luc!" Bedazzle popped into the royal chamber. "Luc, ya gotta come quick!"

"Aughhh! Don't do that! You just scared me out of an eon's growth."

"Sorry, but you've gotta come to Earth."

"And why is that, pray tell?" Lucifer said in his drollest and most patient voice.

"Because God has just sent Her most powerful Arch Angel, the one who took your rightful place in Heaven, down to Earth to interfere with our work here."

Lucifer slammed his fist down of the table before him, which seemed to have an equal and opposite reaction of catapulting him from his dais to full height. "Tell me."

"Well, when God chose this baby, the Gates of Heaven opened up, showing the Angel Choir singing their usual praises, shining the Light of Heaven down on the child, then the Gate closed again. The child is unusually Gifted. Not only is the child brilliant and balance, he's a Gifted healer, linguist, teacher, and just about everything else you can think of. It's almost as if this child has some added DNA, he's so perfect." Bedazzle finished out of breath, he had talked so fast.

"Hummm, I wonder.... I wish I could talk to God." Lucifer sighed in resignation. "She is so hard to second guess. Is God trying to help us or hinder us?" He paused. "Well, I'm going to take this as a peace offering. If this child has new and improved DNA, maybe God is trying start a new race of people without destroying the old. A new infusion of DNA would take thousands of Earth generations to spread to all the populace..." Lucifer looked at Bedazzle. "He should be encouraged to have as many offspring as possible." A sly grin crept across Lucifer's face. "You and I are both going to share the Guardian Angel duty for this one. "Let's see, we can plant a wanderlust is his subconscious, a desire to see the world. As a great teacher he would be able to do this."

"Ahhh, yes," Bedazzle picked up on Lucifer's line of reasoning. "And as a great teacher, he could, uh, sew his wild-oats more easily, thus spreading the new DNA!"

"Exactly!"

They laughed with glee at their good fortune and what seemed like a possible truce. Then Bedazzle sobered. We'll have to go back in Time to do this, because in the Present Earth Time, the Arch Angel has just possessed Jeshua ben Joseph's body."

"Very well, let's go"

* * * ** *** **** ***** **** *** ** * * *

Lucifer and Bedazzle returned to the Dark Mist. Lucifer stretched and then reclined on his dais. Bedazzle flopped onto the cushions.

"Well, I think that went fairly well." Lucifer said, grinning with pleasure. "He must have thousands of offspring by now. I believe that he was one of the most prolific humans in history. Even more so than King Solomon with all his thousand wives and 700 concubines. Jeshua ben Joseph spread his seed throughout most of his known world."

"Yes, planting that wanderlust in his subconscious mind really did the trick. His beautiful physique and charismatic personality took care of the rest, especially with the women. But, he took terrible chances sneaking into all those harems. It's a good thing we were there to protect him."

"Ha-ha-ha-ha, the women loved it, delighted in it, even. And thanks to us, with a little hormonal and genetic manipulation of our own, they always conceived." Lucifer laid back and relaxed, almost purring at their good fortune. They were quiet for a time, each savoring their favorite moments.

Then Bedazzle mused aloud, "Everything was going so nicely. He grasp all we taught him in his dreams, all the Universal Laws, even the fine art of Mind over Atomic Matter, so that he was able to perform "miracles" wherever he went. Then that loudmouth gallout came storming out of the dessert condemning everyone for their frivolous activity and indulgence in pleasure. He got his just deserts, though, for drowning all those people in the name of baptism."

"Yes, I believe the only thing that save Jeshua ben Joseph from drowning that day was the Arch Angel descending into him. That John the Baptist had the densest mind of any human I have ever encountered."

"Me, too," Bedazzle interjected.

"I was yelling in his mind and he still couldn't hear me."

"I was tugging on his hands trying to get him to release Jeshua. I was just about ready to try to possess him when the Arch Angel arrived on the scene."

Lucifer chuckled again. "I must say that I was impressed and apprehensive all at the same time. She certainly put on a spectacular light show."

"It's a good thing she was on our side. You guessed right when you thought this was a peace offering from God.." Bedazzle grinned at Lucifer, pride shining in his eyes.

"Well, we had laid the ground work well, teaching Jeshua all the Universal Laws. It made her job easier. It was nice to be able to actually speak to a Messenger from Heaven.... it's been so long. I hope she make it back to Heaven all right, after seeing how things are down here. I hope she is able to convey our messages to God and that our truce continues.

"It was good to know, though, that God still is holding up Her end of the bargain. If we can get the humans to realize the creative power of their mind, to embrace pleasure and love by integrating their subconscious and conscious minds together, and to release the selfishness and self-destructive notions in their subconscious minds, then we can all return to Heaven.

Lucifer grinned and rolled his eyes. "That, my friend is some pretty tall `Ifs'. It will take lots of diligent, hard work."

Bedazzle grinned back. "Long, hard work, yes, but I think we can do it."

Lucifer cuffed Bedazzle on the shoulder, playfully. "Always the optimist. But, that's what I like about you."

* * * ** *** **** ***** **** *** ** * * *

Bedazzle burst into the royal chamber. Annoyed, Lucifer glared at him.

"I wish you wouldn't do that. I DO have important things I'm overseeing here."

"But, this is urgent," Bedazzle gasp.

"Others have urgent business, also, but you don't see them bursting in here, forgetting their manners."

"I'm sorry, Luc. Do you want me to go wait in line?"

Lucifer rested his chin on one hand while drumming the fingers of the other hand on the table. All the while glaring at Bedazzle. Finally, he said, "You should, you know, but since you're here, what do you want?"

"It's those stupid humans, again!" Bedazzle shouted in frustration.

"Of course," Lucifer drawled, amused. "What have they done this time?"

"They are screwing everything up!"

"So, what's new. They always do that."

"But, this time they've really gone and done it. It is so frustrating to have our lives hanging in the balance on such impenetrable and inept creatures. They are taking all of Jeshua ben Joseph's teachings and twisting them all around! They are worshipping the man, not trying to incorporate the Teachings into their lives."

"But, of course. That's the easy way out, and humans always take the easy way out."

"Do you remember the time when Jeshua said, "Back me up here, Satan."? Well, they are taking that statement and twisting it all around. Because they are stuck in judging you as bad and Jeshua as good, they are saying he said, "Get behind me, Satan," and interpreting it to mean a denouncement instead of a partnership!"

"Who is saying this?"

"The teachers, mostly men. They are calling themselves the Priesthood. The women are secretly passing along what Jeshua taught the women deciples."

"Then concentrate on the women. Let's see if we can't affect the balance of power in the world,"

"Good idea! Thanks, Luc. Talking to you always makes me feel better." Bedazzle disappeared back to his assignment.

* * * ** *** **** ***** **** *** ** * * *

"Next," Lucifer called and Bedazzle walked in. Lucifer stood up and went to greet his friend. "Bedazzle, it's good to see you. You waited in line? I don't believe it! How are things?"

Bedazzle just hung his head and shook it, then sank to the cushions with a sad sigh. "You told me not to barge in anymore, so I didn't. I've been waiting an eternity, but it doesn't really matter."

"That bad, huh?" Lucifer sat down beside Bedazzle. "Tell me."

Tears glistened in his jeweled eyes as he began to speak, "We did as you suggested. We concentrated on the women. The balance of power was just beginning to shift, especially since the Romans found the British Isles and those people were already in tune with the Earth Mother. It looked like the women would soon become an equal power with the men.

"Aughhh, but the minds of the men seem to be ruled by their unconscious fears, and because they suppress their emotions they seem unable to deal with their fears. When a fear arises, their unconscious reaction is to become angry in order to become larger than their fear.

"The men found new and inventive ways to suppress the women and their teachings. The men teachers, `Priests' they call themselves, invented lies and instilled more fear in the minds of the uneducated. Next they invented a new kind of evil that they called `Witchcraft'. It was aimed at the Earth Mother religions and particularly the women. Next they systematically started torturing and killing the women.

"I've lost count of how many women I've lost on Guardian Angel Duty. This last one, I was able to get through to. I showed her how to use the creative forces of her mind and she understood." Bedazzle's face brightened for a moment. "She was one of the carriers of the improved DNA, a descendant of Jeshua ben Joseph. She was able to psychically defend herself against one of the priests by kinetically moving him away from her and pinning him against a wall. But, another priest drove a wooden steak through her heart before she could divide her mind in two directions to protect herself from him, also. It was so sad. She had so much potential. She did have offspring, so the gene is passed on."

Lucifer took Bedazzle under his wing, rocking him, to comfort his desolate and aching spirit.

* * * ** *** **** ***** **** *** ** * * *

Bedazzle stalked into Lucifer's chambers. "Ugh! Brother, you look terrible! You look like some mutant cross between a komoto-dragon and a goat."

Lucifer's laughter rang wickedly throughout the chamber. Then died just as quickly. "Darn," he mumbled, "I hate that echo."

Startled, Bedazzle looked around the chamber. "What the...?"

"Been on Guardian Angel duty again, I see." Lucifer commented. "Well take a look at yourself." He waved his hand and a mirror appeared before Bedazzle.

Bedazzle watched in horror as his iridescent beauty faded and crumbled before his eyes, leaving a similar countenance to Lucifer's. Aghast, he stood there shaking. "I don't understand. What is happening."

"It's the humans! They don't understand that they are co-creators, that whatever they think comes to pass."

"It's their darn defective genetics. They don't know their own power because their conscious and subconscious mind aren't connected. What are we going to do?"

"There's not much we can do. We're stuck with them. We just have to make the best of the situation." Lucifer stood.

"Walk with me, Bedazzle."

They walked through the outer chambers, out into the courtyard, through the city and the countryside.

"Darkness shrouds everything in this Realm," Lucifer said. "But energy consumed gives off light. Light is a waist product in this Realm. Thus, corners consume more energy than walls, so they glowed more." He said pointing at a building. "Living things glow even more, like these plants. The human souls give off various amounts of light, according to their awareness of their power. We Angels give off greater amounts of light according to rank."

Bedazzle noticed that Lucifer appeared as bright as a sun, the Bright and Shining Morning Star, in his Dark Realm. This Realm that the human collective consciousness had created for them.

At last they came to a place where the air shimmered and turned hard. They could not proceed any further. Lucifer directed Bedazzle to a gate in this wall. On the other side of this gate everything glowed brightly.

"And this is the place that human consciousness has created and they call Heaven," Lucifer explained.

"But, it's not Heaven," Bedazzle protested.

"You and I and the other Angels know that, but, the humans don't know that. This is their creation, just as their life on Earth is their creation, and they are living it."

Bedazzle shook his head sadly. "I will redouble my efforts to get through to them."

"Please do."

* * * ** *** **** ***** **** *** ** * * *

"There you are Bedazzle. I've missed you, it's been so long since you've been in for our chats," Lucifer greeted his friend.

"Hi, Luc, I've been working with the souls here in between their excursions on Earth. We've created a school for in between lives. So, even though we have a difficult time getting through to them while they are in body, education here is easy. Some of them even remember their teachings when they are on Earth."

"That's an excellent idea. How is it working?"

"Well, at first we didn't see any difference while they were in body, but, now, it's been between five and ten incarnation for most souls. We're beginning to notice that Guardian Angel duty is easier. We are able to get through their denseness much easier. Of course, the new genetics is beginning to reach critical mass. I believe that is why some of them are able to integrate the teachings of the Spirit world into their physical life."

"How are things going with the women?"

"Much better. We've instituted a program where a soul doesn't get to be just male or female on Earth. They have to switch sexes every second or third physical incarnation. It is a bit confusing for some of them. They still carry the tenancies of their last incarnation. Some souls really identify with this male-female thing. I don't understand why, though. It is just an aspect of being."

"It is part of the soul's journey to find the balance in all aspects of being, weather in physical of spiritual form," Lucifer explained. "This is good. We might make the deadline yet."

"Deadline! What deadline?" Bedazzle exclaimed.

"Shhhh!" Lucifer looked around to see if anyone heard. Luckily, no one else was within hearing distance.

Bedazzle lowered his voice. "You've never mentioned a deadline before."

"Well, I didn't want to put any undue pressure on anyone. Everyone is doing a miraculous job, working so hard, pulling double and triple duty."

"How long did God give us?"

She gave us six-thousand Earth revolutions around the sun."

"The Central Sun?"

"No. Solar system revolutions, not galactic revolutions."

"That leaves us with only between ten and twenty physical incarnations per soul!" Bedazzle said in alarm.

"Exactly. That's why I'm so encouraged by your news, Bedazzle. There is a good chance that we will all make it back to Heaven. I can hardly wait. Keep up the good work, my friend."

"Luc, I think you should tell the others. We all have a right to know. After all, we are all in this together."

"I don't know, Bedazzle. I don't want to see moral go crashing like it did during the slaughtering of the women. This invading darkness is difficult enough to deal with."

"Actually, moral is beginning to increase. We are finally seeing that all our efforts are paying off. I don't think it will hurt. We can even drop hints in the minds of the humans that time grows short. We will rally together, redoubling our efforts."

"Yes, I see your point, Bedazzle. We can do this. Together, with the Humans, we can do this!"
