Moniqa & Magic Unicorn
CHAPTER 8ALIEN PLANET
That night Moniqa hung her T-shirt in the same spot so the starlight could shine on it. She had lay there admiring the sparkling and reflective effect of the white paint. The paint never sparkled like that in the sunlight.
"It's the magic of the night light, the moonlight."
Moniqa sat up. "Am I dreaming already? That was quick."
"Where would you like to visit tonight?"
Moniqa swung onto Magic's back. "Take me to the moon. I want to see Earth from there again. Then I'll decide from there."
"Very well." Magic stepped through the wall. Once out in the back yard he leaped, galloping over the treetops and buildings. Moniqa watched the streetlights grow smaller until the whole town was only a pinpoint of light. -Ploop- they emerged from the atmosphere and the Earth began to grow smaller. She looked ahead and watched the moon rush toward them. Or was it the other way around? Magic landed at the top edge of a creator where they could have the best view of Earth.
"So, have you decided where you would like to visit tonight?"
"Oh, someplace strange and far away. Someplace that I would never think of."
Magic thought for a minute, tipping his head sideways. "I know! Hang on." Moniqa gripped her legs around him and fastened her fingers in his thick mane. Magic leaped into the air and rocked away from the moon. All the stars seemed to leap at them, then disappeared. They were traveling through a void - nothingness! Suddenly the stars seemed to leap at them again, then became fixed in the heavens. A particular bright star grew and Moniqa realized that she was looking at a galaxy. Then they were in it and headed for a huge sun near the center. A small golden planet loomed in front of them, and then they were standing on a sand dune. Moniqa looked around, the whole planet seemed to be sand. Magic flew over the dessert until they came to a Mountain range. Magic landed on a middle range peak.
Moniqa looked around at the desolate planet, wondering how this could be a place she would never imagine. A desert is a desert no matter where in the Universe you find it.
Magic neighed and pawed the ground. After a minute he tossed his head in the direction of a taller rocky peak.
"Look, here they come."
Moniqa looked in the direction Magic had pointed. She saw an avalanche. Large boulders were breaking away from the peaks and rushing into the valley to mill there. Then to Moniqa's astonishment they started rolling and bouncing up hill as if gravity had been reversed.
"Hang on tight!" Magic called as he leaped into the air. He hovered about fifty feet above the ground. "We'll be safe here."
"What are they? How did they roll up hill?" Moniqa gasp.
"They are rocks; at least that is the closest thing you can comprehend to what they are. How they differ from rocks you are familiar with is that they are more consciously aware. In other words these are living, sentiments beings with a soul. These Rock-people are peacefully, friendly, curious, fun-loving and extremely gregarious. If we had remained on the ground they would have buried us, smothering us. Not out of fear or malice, but out of curiosity. They communicate telepathically, and learn by feeling and experience. The Rock-people live in perfect harmony and balance with each other and their planet. Rock-people are not solid as rocks on your planet. They are rather fluid on the inside, with a hard, yet, flexible outer shell, similar to scales. Little fingers stick out between their scales to help propel themselves."
"So that's how they could roll up hill," Moniqa exclaimed.
"Exactly. They have a mouth similar to your crustaceans, such as barnacles. They eat rock and sand. Basically they contain the only moisture found on the planet, except for a few sacred pools found deep in the ground."
"How do they see? Do they have eyes?"
"No, they're telepathic. They receive mental images of their surroundings from their fellow's experiences. Telepathy is a form of mental imagery. That is telepathy is the transition and reception of thought forms. Each Rock-person broadcasts its experience to its fellow beings. That way everyone gets an overall picture.
Moniqa and Magic stayed and watched the Rock-people mill around below them, building a tower toward them. Magic flew higher. After watching a bit longer, he turned and galloped away.
Moniqa watched the tan planet grow smaller, then the solar system fade away. Suddenly, they were in that Void again. It was extremely disorienting! She felt frightened when they didn't come out of it right away. She could feel Magic in her mind, comforting and encouraging her.
Be still. Be calm, my friend. Feel the Home of this place. Feel the Love that is here. This is the womb of The Mother. This place is a Safe Haven to come to in time of trouble. Whenever your mind is troubled, just remember this place and feel the Loving Energy spread throughout your body. And if you ever get into trouble in your dreams, just implode or collapse into yourself and you will find yourself in this Heart of The Mother.
As Magic Spoke into her mind, Moniqa found herself growing calm. She felt herself expanding, relaxing, drifting...........
The next thing she knew her alarm was going off and it was time to get up and go to school.
